Spiritual Practices
Some ways that we desire to acquire more skill and proficiency as human beings include:
"Every morning, I lay out the pieces of my life on your altar and watch for fire to descend."
- Approaching life as prayer - constantly listening and watching for God's word to us, and seeking to respond faithfully. We anticipate regular 'prayer walks' through various sections of the city, seeking to see the city through God's eyes and to discover what God is up to."
- Using our gifts and following our passions, stepping off the sidelines into the action with God: making a positive difference in our community and in our world.
- Partnering with others in our spiritual journeys, allowing our lives to become intertwined with both the lives of Bible characters and the lives of our neighbors.
- Opening ourselves to experience the wonder of worship in new ways.
- Paying special attention to the writings of the Bible, studying the Bible with open minds, listening for what God is saying to us today from the ancient stories and words.
Epicenter Church is a new Christian Faith community focused on serving the people who live in the urban expanse of greater Washington DC.
